Between REALTORS®, lenders, and the title companies, I think most clients are kept aware of time frames and expectations during the housing purchase process. However HUD (The U.S.  Department of Housing and Urban Development) wants to make sure that this is happening. If you are closing with a HUD1 receipt and using the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of your fees, they also require that we deliver their settlement cost booklet. I like to share info in advance if possible. Feel free to read!

The balancing act is to inform you without overwhelming you with information. So if you have questions, please contact your REALTOR® or lender.
