My Philosophy About You
First, let me thank you for taking the time to read this… You have the choice of literally a million real estate agents in this country and you’ve found yourself here. That’s a good start for both of us.
My name is Matthew and it’s important that you understand who I am and what makes me unique in this space. I am foremost a husband and father. My wife and I have been married for over 20 years and I’ve lived in the Fredericksburg, VA area my entire life. We have hectic lives just like you, raising three teenage daughters, homeschooling and living out our faith every day. Nothing is more important than that. Sure, I know that it’s not a good business practice to tell a potential client that there is something more important than you. What you need to understand is that my passion for my faith and my family is what makes me understand your needs better.
Let me clear up the mystery of “why” I perform as I do as a real estate professional. You see, I’ve been with my clients, clients like you, when they have just found out that their parent has died unexpectedly, when their child has been accepted to the perfect college, when they found out a child is sick, when they find out that they house they’ve always wanted is going to be theirs, when they discover that the addition of a new child is going to require expansion, when they have to sell their home in order to survive, when their worlds are crashing down and when life is the best it’s ever going to be… I get the privilege of being there for both good life experiences and some bad. But all are experiences. Many are monumental experiences in most people’s lives. I get, for the briefest of times, to be a supporting character in my client’s story. My passion is to ensure that my brief part in your life-story has a positive legacy. At this point of my long career, I have worked with several families were I have had the privilege of representing three generations. Few agents can say that. There’s a reason why those families trust me enough to recommend me to their children and their children’s children.
To most real estate professionals the client is a “deal” or a “transaction”. To me, you’re the person who is trusting me to safeguard your interest, give you a better consumer experience and be a trusted advisor so that your story can find the best possible happy ending.
I know that there are always opportunities, often small opportunities, that can make any experience better. I aim to find those opportunities and ensure that you’re experience is the best possible experience. It’s why I have invested heavily in advanced training in many aspects of my practice.
I’m here to serve you. You are the employer and I the employee. It’s my responsibility to serve your needs and protect your interests. Feel free to reach out to me and see how I’m unique and how I can partner with you and your family to have a positive experience selling or purchasing your next home.

My Personal Life
Jennifer is the wife of my youth and we’ve been married for over 20 years. We have three amazing daughters that we homeschool, with one in college. Jennifer and I have volunteered for many civic groups over the years, but now concentrate on family and outreach through our church. We’ve attended Grace Church of Fredericksburg for over 23 years and remain very active as volunteers, in missions, audio / visual ministry and wherever we are needed. In addition to being an outstanding mother and wife, Jennifer also volunteers at the Fredericksburg Pregnancy Clinic.
